It seems that although with the dawn of the internet and technology, people still seem to struggle with managing money. Once I met a friend who I could never execute a transaction with in cash, because she said that she would lose it or misplace it. What? I stash my money like a squirrel hides acorns, I know where every nickel and penny is hidden in my house. I could smell my hands and tell the exact time I last touched a dollar bill, and she would literally LOSE money.
Fortunately, there are apps out there to help those like my friend and myself to manage transactions between banks, between vendors, and between friends. Here are my top 5 money apps of 2018:
Mint - Helps with day to day finance and flags overspending. You can get an overall view of your overall net worth.
Albert - Similar to Mint, but you can set other alerts and has a user friendly view.
Venmo - For friends who live together and want to never write a check again for your gas bill. You can also use cute emojis and share publicly or just between friends.
Wally - Great for tracking expenses and has a feature where you can take a picture of your receipts (instead of storing them in a shoebox throughout the year like yours truly).
Misc Banking Apps - Bank of America, Wells Fargo, TD, and USAA bank all have multiple banking platforms that you can use to monitor spending or detect devious charges on your credit and debit cards.
